Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Joseph has been awarded Magnet designation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). We are electrified by this achievement – it is one of the highest honors bestowing national recognition on our hospital.
Receiving Magnet status means that St. Joseph joins prestigious company across the country. We are one of only:
11 hospitals in the state of Wisconsin, and
5 percent of hospitals nationwide to achieve Magnet status.
The ANCC surveyors have confirmed what our clinical professionals and patients have known and experienced – St. Joseph nurses are among the most qualified, competent and caring individuals in the nursing profession. They are dedicated to upholding the highest standards that Magnet requires (the 14 Forces of Magnet) in interactions with patients and professional colleagues.
Our entire hospital staff – nurses, clinical professionals and administrative associates contributed to this three-year effort. St. Joseph patients benefit from the quality service and compassionate care shown in all that we do.
