Medical Explorers

Lots of young people think, “I want to be a doctor!”, but unless they know one personally, they probably don’t know what the job entails, what the level of commitment is to become a doctor, or what other professions—even within medicine—might better fit them .

Medical Explorers is a chance for young people to learn about medical careers that may appeal to them as they move toward college. It’s a chance to meet, speak with and learn from doctors, nurses, medical technicians and specialists, and more. They’ll tell you about what they do, why they do it, and why you may or may not want to do it too.

Meetings are held about twice a month, from October to March, at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. Most programs run 7:00-8:15p.m., although programs may be shorter or longer depending on the schedule of the person speaking and the number of questions asked. For meeting dates and locations within the hospital, please check the schedule.
