Pain Management

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare–All Saints Chronic Pain Management Program is committed to help people living with pain that has lasted more than three months or beyond expected healing time. Our goal is to help you manage pain more effectively and improve your quality of life

When pain won’t go away
Chronic pain is a widespread health concern, affecting one out of five Americans. Many people living with pain have exhausted available treatment avenues for pain relief. If you are among them, you know the burden that this pain can place on your physical and emotional health as well as your work and personal relationships.

A multidisciplinary approach
Professional staff includes a nurse, occupational therapist, psychologist, massage therapist, and pharmacist. In addition, a physician’s assistant and anesthesiologist provide medical support to the team. The treatment staff works together to address your needs in a supportive and holistic way. Our knowledgeable team of experts will first perform a medical, occupational therapy, and psychological evaluation to understand and address the factors contributing to your pain.

Treatment recommendations following the evaluation process may include any of the following:

  • Referral to physical therapy, occupational therapy, or work injury program
  • Referral to a medical specialist
  • Referral to Mental Health & Addiction Care
  • Consultation with the team pharmacist and/or recommendations for pain medications
  • Referral to additional services, such as massage therapy, vocational counseling, or dietary consult
  • Participation in the Chronic Pain Management Program
